The Ford Ranger T6 was released in international markets in 2011, but the North American market had to wait a further 8 years until 2019 to get their hands on it. Weighing in at around 2 metric tonnes unloaded, they're fairly heavy vehicles and therefore require substantial stopping power. Unfortunately, the stock front 302x32mm discs and two-piston floating calipers are inadequate at best, and potentilly unsafe when fully loaded.

As usual, here at PB Brakes we have a solution in the form of our 4-pot, 6-pot, and 8-pot brake kit upgrades. Our entry-level kit, which requires a minimum of 16" or 17" wheels (depending on design), is a 330x32mm big 4-pot. When combined with the sport pad upgrade, this represents an increase of 20% stopping power compared to the standard front brakes. In addition to the uprated braking performance, the aerospace grade aluminium calipers and brake disc center hats save roughly 5kg in unsprung weight per front wheel, which in turn improves handling by allowing the suspension to react more quickly to changes in road conditions.

18" wheels normally allow enough clearance for our 356x32mm big 6-pot or 8-pot system. While slightly heavier than the 330mm kit, it's still a reduction of 3kg per wheel compared to stock, and a massive increase in braking power of 68% with sport pads or 31% with street pads. For more extreme applications, our BBK range extends all the way up to a 430x36mm XL 8-pot!
